A Memorial of a Deed of release bearing date the Third day of Nov[embe]r one thous[an]d seven hun[dre]d & Forty Seven made between Peter Edkins of Millstreet in the Co[unty] of Dublin Gent of the first part the Rev[eren]d James Edkins of the City of Dublin Cl[er]k of the second part and Martha Pearson of Dunlary in the said Co[unty] widow of the third part Reciting that a marriage was then Intended to be had & solemnized between the said Peter Edkins and Martha Pearson Dau[ghte]r of the above men[tione]d Martha Pearson & reciting that Geo[rge] Edkins of Millstreet afores[ai]d Gent Father of the said Peter did by his Ind[entu]re of Lease bearing date the Thirty First day of October one thous[an]d seven hun[dre]d & Forty Seven demise & sett unto the said Peter Edkins all that dwelling house or Tenement Lately in the Tenure and occupation of the s[ai]d George Edkins situate on the East Side of the street or passage Leading to Mr Phemoe's holding in the Libertys of Thomas Court and Donore and County of Dublin Together with the Backside behind the same & the Warehouse & Vaults on the South Side of s[ai]d Dwelling House & also the Lime Kiln on the west side of the said passage fronting said dwelling house with the ground within the wall which incloses said Lime Kiln and also full and Free Liberty of Ingress Egress and regress in and to the said Lime Kiln through the Accustomed Road or passage leading thereto with the appurt[enance]s thereunto belonging To Hold to the said Peter Edkins his Heirs & ass[ign]s from the Twenty Ninth day of Sep[tembe]r last for the natural life and lives of W[illia]m Cooke of the City of Dublin Esq[ui]r[e] Geo[rge] Edkins son of the said Geo[rge] Edkins and W[illia]m Ward of Wards Hill in the Co[unty] of Dublin Gent at the yearly Rent of Five p[oun]ds ster[lin]g pay at the Half Yearly above Taxes w[i]th Cov[enan]ts for renew[in]g the same for ever on paym[en]t of one peper corn fine for renewal as therein is Men[tione]d Reciting that the Rt Hon[ora]ble W[illia]m Earle of Meath by his Ind[entu]re of Lease bearing Date the Twenty Ninth day of Sep[tembe]r one thous[an]d six hun[dre]d and Eighty three did demise and sett unto Geo[rge] Edkins then late of Ropers Rest in the Liberties of Tho[ma]s Court & Donore afores[ai]d Tanner dec[eas]ed all that piece or p[ar]cell of Land then Tanners Row cont[aining] frontw[ar]d one hun[dre]d and Fifty Feet (be the same more or less) bounded Northw[ar]d with the row or highway Southw[ar]d with the Highway leading to the Double Mills and the dwelling house & outhouses of the said Mills and Westward with Sir Rich[ar]d Buckleys Holdings together with free liberty of laying and placing a pipe two inches in Diameter in the Concave for carrying water from the Millrace of said Mills unto the said Piece of Ground for the Use thereof the said Pipe being to be kept under a Staunch Cock to preserve the water from waste w[hi]ch said prem[is]es are situate in the Liberties of Thomas Court & Donore To hold to the said Geo[rge] Edkins party thereto his Heirs & Ass[ign]s for and during the Natural life and lives of the said Geo[rge] Edkins Rebecca Edkins wife of the said Geo[rge] and James Edkins son of the said George Edkins & the surv[ivo]rs & surv[ivo]r of them at the yearly rent of Four Pounds Fifteen shill[ing]s payable Half Yearly above Taxes with Cov[enan]ts for renew of the same for ever on payment of one whole years Rent fine for Renew[a]l as therein is Men[tione]d and reciting that the Int[eres]t of the said Geo[rge] Edkins party to the said last recited Lease became legally vested in the said George Edkins father of the said Peter and Reciting that the said Geo[rge] Edkins Father of the said Peter did by his deed of Assignm[en]t bearing date the Thirty First day of Oct[obe]r one thous[an]d seven hun[dre]d & Forty Seven Assign and make over unto the said Peter Edkins his heirs and assigns s[ai]d last recited Lease and all his Right & Title thereto by which said Deed of release of which this is a Mem[oria]l the said Peter Edkins in Consider[atio]n of the said Intended Marriage of the Marriage portion of five hun[dre]d p[oun]ds p[ai]d & secured to be paid to the said Peter Edkins & for making provision for the said Martha the Younger in case she sh[oul]d survive him did assign & make over unto the said James Edkins all that & those prem[is]es herein before recited to be assigned to the said Peter by said Geo[rge] To Hold to the said Ja[me]s Edkins and his Heirs to for & upon the sev[era]ll uses Trusts Intents and purposes therein particularly Men[tione]d and Expressed of and concern[in]g the same which said deed of release is witnessed by Chris Day cl[er]k of Thos Mullock & the said Thos Mullock.
