Miscellaneous

John Knights was first described as a brewer in 1854, his premises being variously described as the Lamb, King Street (1865), and the Lamb Brewery (1863). He was last listed in 1869, John Hammond Knights being listed as a brewer in King Street in 1875. By 1888 he was operating the Queen Street Brewery from the King's Head public house, where he was last listed in 1896. In 1900 Mrs Ann Elizabeth Knights was running the Queen Street Brewery.

Thomas Hammond was brewing at 13, London Road, in 1854. By 1865 Charles Hammond had laken over, but was not listed in 1872.
