Explorer vs. Internet Explorer

Explorer and Internet Explorer have the same name, which is very confusing as they serve a very different purpose. What you are using now is probably Internet Explorer, or Netscape or some other browser which has the same function.

Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer Icon) is a web browser, which means it can view pages on the Internet such as this one.

Explorer, also called Windows Explorer (Explorer Icon) allows you to view what's on your computer.

This isn't quite the whole truth, as Explorer sometimes turns into Internet Explorer when you're not expecting it.
