Cut machine lace

Bobbin lace has a limited width. Machine lace can be as wide as the loom that made it. In fact, it can be expensive to make narrower widths of lace. So machine lace can often be made in multiple copies across the width, and cut to shape afterwards. This leaves cut threads at the edge, looking a little like edge picots.
