Drawn thread work also known as pulled thread work, is a form of counted-thread embroidery based on removing threads from the warp and/or the weft of a piece of even-weave fabric. The remaining threads are grouped or bundled together into a variety of patterns.
Here are examples of Drawn thread work from my lace collection (although, as I am not an expert, some of my identification may be wrong). Click on a picture below to go to a page about the piece, with a large scale image.
